Maginhawa Adventure: Laruan ATBP. Cafe - A must-go Board Café in Maginhawa

11:58 PM

If you’re looking for a perfect place wherein you forget those techy things that revolve us, well Laruan Café is the answer!
It was my 2nd time when I decided to take pics and write something about it. It was a Friday night when we went there. We first went to Griddle: Steaks x Chicken to eat there. Since my officemate recommended to eat there.

We actually decided to go to Snacks and ladder since we haven’t been there and to look around there. It was just around 7pm when we arrive there. There are few people playing but I’m quite disappointed in that place, it seems like their staffs didn’t see us, they didn’t mind entertaining us. So I got irritated and decided to go to Laruan café. We took tricycle since its quite far. (btw, 25 pesos is the tricycle fare)

Staffs

When we reached the café, staffs gladly greet us and gave us the menu. Then we started looking for some games. To our surprise, the game master cheerfully approached us and guide us to choose games. The game master knows his stuff and gave suggestions. They also had a wide variety of games  so you’ll surely have a very good stay here. No one can judge you for being so loud. We enjoyed the games. Ambience

I loved the homey ambience of this place, it was awesome though, it was very cozy and the seating had ample space for the games. It brings the 90’s kids on us. You’ll definitely forget the techy world coz you wll just take a photo for a while then play all the time.

Just a piece of advice, usually many people go there at night – 9pm onwards and expect that there are also a lot of people during Friday and weekends so if you want to go there and avoid the crowd better if you come earlier.
You can buy also board games there too just ask for assistance.

Food

A consumable food worth of 150 per person will allow you to play unlimited games. We decided some light menu. Food serving is  good for 2-3 persons. Super worth it ang pera sa food.
Since we’re already full, I asked one of their staff to take out carbonara. They put it on a tupperware. So cute unlike other restaurants who will just put it on a foil or on a plastic bag. You can check their menu in zomato.

We ordered Carbonara Classica and Thick-cut Cheesy Fries
Classica Carbonara - Php 195
Thick-cut cheesy fries - Php 155

Oh by the way, what made us went here is because one of my favorite OPM Bands vocalist is one of the co-owners of this Café, Jay Contreras of Kamikazee. I’m hoping to see him on my next visit.

Have you been here lovies? Tell me your great gaming experience below.
